The Gdansk’s Academy of Music was established in 1947, as a State Music University (the name had been changed in 1982). During the first years, the school’s headquarters was in Sopot. It has been the creator of many acknowledged artists: instrumentalists, composers or vocalists.
The headquarters, on the Lakowa street (Building B) in Gdansk, houses a big Concert Hall with a balcony of almost 600 square meters area. The audience is designated for 408 persons. The School utilizes the Concert Hall as a place for students’ performances, musicals, opera and jazz concerts.
In 2007, P.S. Teatr fitted the Concert Hall in three Strand Wallrack 24 x 2,5kW Dimmers. The Light park was mostly based on the ETC’s luminaires. 12 pcs. of ETC’s Source Four zoom 25-50 profile luminaires were delivered and installed. The same equipment has been delivered for the Rehearsal Hall and Chamber Room of the Academy of Music.
