The Bialystok Puppet Theatre is one of the oldest puppet theatres in Poland. Officially it was founded in 1953, and the current headquarters was taken by the theatre in 1979. The theatre’s edifice has three stages: Grand (200 places), Small (100 places) and rehearsal hall for 40 people. Theatre specializes in spectacles for children and adults. Thanks to the high artistic level, The Bialystok Puppet Theatre has been considered to be one of the best puppet stages in the country. It is the organiser of many local puppet festivals both national and international.
In 2011 the first, in more than 30 years, renovation of the object began. The P.S. TEATR fitted the stages in a professional stage machinery system including, among others: 6 stage lifts with the Spiralift drive, 31 electrically driven stage barrels, 2 electrically driven light bridges and 2 also electrically driven curtain barrels.
The driver system was based on the microchip processors. All mechanical devices are being controlled from a computer-based control desk, enabling the control of individual drives. The controlling desktop fitted with 15’’ touch screen allows a precision configuration of movement parameters, such as: speed, positioning, braking distance, individual drives synchronization, as well as monitoring the condition of all of the drives.
In order to ensure the highest level of security, the system has been fitted with a set of emergency switches located onto the stage, switch rooms and the technical ceiling.
Within the framework of the The Bialystok Puppet Theatre’s modernization, the facility has been also fitted with a new stage floor as well as a set of mobile platforms. The new stage machinery devices allow a various stage configurations. The works lasted since September 2011 till November 2012.

Additionally, in 2014 we have been responsible for the modernization of the stage technology lighting in the Grand Stage, including the delivery and installation of the new lighting devices, technology installations as well as the lighting control desk, the Gio 2K from ETC.
