Centre for the Documentation of the Art of Tadeusz Kantor – Cricoteka was founded in 1980. Its initial work was performed under the name Cricot 2 Theatre. In 2014 the opening of a new building of Crakow’s Crikoteca – The Centre for the Documentation of the Art of Tadeusz Kantor. The new headquarters is now placed in the former Podgórze Power Station on the Vistula River, in front of Kazimierz. Przedsiębiorstwo Specjalistyczne TEATR equipped the multi-purpose hall with a complete lighting control system. As a result, the hall can hold performances or theatrical workshops with the participation of the audience (140 people). The direct contractor for installation works was the Elwolight company, to which – for the investment purposes – almost 100 stage technology lighting devices were delivered by us (i.a.: Quantum Wash moving heads by MARTIN, and Nick NRG 1201 by DTS, PL1 and PL3 and SPX luminaures by Philips Selecon, as well as Spotlight luminaires). One of the first time used in Poland – the Gio console by ETC was incorporated into the project as well. Also the wall-mounted dimmers – the Wallrack 24×2,5kW by Philips Strand were installed.
In the multi-purpose hall, for controlling 64 non-regulated stage technology lighting circuits and 7 regulated circuits of the audience, the Bus Pro system by HDL was used. The control is performed via wireless desktop with a 21” touchscreen and 3 wall-mounted panels by HDL.
