The Subcarpathian Philharmonics edifice is located by one of the city’s main roads, near the old square and the Rzeszów’s Castle. The beginnings of the philharmonics dates back to the 1955, when the first concert of the Regional Symphonic Orchestra in Rzeszów took place. In 1967 the Artur Malawski’s National Rzeszów Philharmonics came to life, which in 1974 moved its headquarters to a new residence, where it is on its duty until today. The Subcarpathian Philharmonics houses a Concert Hall with an amphitheater-like audience for 800 spectators, and z Chamber Room for 200 spectators. The object’s reconstruction and modernization after such a long time, since the establishment, were vital. Ended in 2010, the reconstruction opened a new chapter of the Philharmonics in Rzeszów’s history, by the name of The Subcarpathian Philharmonics (Filharmonia Podkarpacka).
The P.S. TEATR was responsible for the delivery and installation of the stage lighting system, as well as the stage machinery devices in the Artur Malawski’s Philharmonics in Rzeszów. The facility has been fitted with the stage lighting system consisting of Light Palette VL 3000 digital lighting console by Strand Lighting, supporting 3000 DMX channels and five, wall mounted digital dimmers Wallrack 24 x 2,5 kW by Strand Lighting. Additional Jester 12/24 Console by Zero88 (rack mounted) is responsible for the lighting control of the Chamber Room. In the Subcarpathian Philharmonics, we have also installed 6-channel splitter CH6 by DTS and wireless DMX transceiver – the Antenna.
Light Park comprises of intelligent equipment like moving heads by the renowned american Vari*Lite company – 6 pcs. of VL 1000 TID ERS moving heads and 8 pcs. of VL 500D WASH. Traditional lighting fittings include: 41 PC lens luminaires by Spotlight – VARIO 05 with a 5° – 56° optics, VARIO 12 with 4° – 63° optics, VARIO 25 (4° – 66°), 16 Figura Zoon 25 9° – 25° reflectors, 2 pcs. of Vedette 2500 W 7° – 16° followspots and 38 pcs. of Source Four Zoom 15° – 30° and 25° – 50° profile luminaires. In addition, there were also 24 asymmetrical floodlights Domino installed.
The stage of the Rzeszów’s Philharmonics has been equipped in 4 mobile light bridges, 12 electrically powered stage barrels, curtain devices and a portal diaphragm. The stage gained features of a theatrical stage – with lifts, reflectors, curtain, orchestra pit. All the modifications enabled, along with concerts, the realization of musical performances.
